About the role
This comprehensive program trains entry-level inspectors in various aspects of aircraft part inspection, documentation, and quality control.Responsibilities
- Inspect and/or layout parts using precision measuring instruments
- Perform first article, in-process, receiving, and final inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies
- Identify and accept parts conforming to required specifications
- Interpret blueprint and technical specifications related to manufactured parts
- Identify and control nonconforming material, and support Root Cause and Corrective Actions
- Support in-process audits of parts in the manufacturing process
- Calibrate and maintain precision measuring tools
- Maintain and organize inspection records in company files
- Verify the accuracy of measurements documented on SPC data sheets
Requirements
- U.S. Person
- High School education or equivalent with basic reading ability for machined part drawings
- Attention to detail and dedication for excellence
- Self-starter willing to learn and collaborate
Preferred Requirements
- Trade School or equivalent experience
- Machining background
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Basic knowledge of inspection tools such as a micrometer and calipers
