Inspector Trainee

About the role

This comprehensive program trains entry-level inspectors in various aspects of aircraft part inspection, documentation, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and/or layout parts using precision measuring instruments
• Perform first article, in-process, receiving, and final inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies
• Identify and accept parts conforming to required specifications
• Interpret blueprint and technical specifications related to manufactured parts
• Identify and control nonconforming material, and support Root Cause and Corrective Actions
• Support in-process audits of parts in the manufacturing process
• Calibrate and maintain precision measuring tools
• Maintain and organize inspection records in company files
• Verify the accuracy of measurements documented on SPC data sheets

Requirements

• U.S. Person
• High School education or equivalent with basic reading ability for machined part drawings
• Attention to detail and dedication for excellence
• Self-starter willing to learn and collaborate

Preferred Requirements

• Trade School or equivalent experience
• Machining background
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Basic knowledge of inspection tools such as a micrometer and calipers
