Inspector | Roadway Monitor - VDOT projects

Required Experience And Qualifications

• Experience with: Inspection services (roadway, bridge) and/or Roadway Monitoring
• Transportation maintenance projects
• Related fields
• Knowledge of work zone safety, erosion, sediment control
• Experience ensuring compliance of contract standards and specifications
• Knowledge of VDOT policies as they relate to quality workmanship and materials in transportation maintenance projects
• Inspect for compliance with state specifications, plans and/or proposals on roadway and bridge projects
• Prepare and maintain project records and reports in a timely manner
• Notify the Contractor or the Project Engineer about non-conforming work
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer or Project Manager

Schedule

• This Full-time role requires the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays & be on-call and respond to after-hour emergencies
• This position works independently on broad projects under direction of a Dept. Manager
• A company take-home vehicle (AVL-equipped) will be provided

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record
