Inspector-Property Condition Assessment (PCA)-1099

Type: 1099 – this is not a full-time position. The role is on an as-needed basis with fewer than 30 hours per month. Location: Remote – must be local to DC/MD/VA.

Join our team as a PCA Property Condition Assessment Inspector in our Environmental Consulting (EC) Department to evaluate the physical condition of properties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct PCA inspections both independently and as part of a team.
• Consult with other EC field Inspectors performing PCAs.
• Ensure timely completion of high-quality PCA reports.
• Identify and evaluate proactive opportunities in addition to reactive condition assessments (e.g., energy efficiency enhancements).

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience performing various types of PCA inspections.
• Ability to organize information to run an inspection program.
• Strong report writing and client communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must reside locally in the Metro DC Area (DC/VA/MD).

Physical Requirements

• Must be physically fit to perform duties in all types of environments and conditions.
• Regularly required to walk and stand; must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and verbally communicate and listen.
• Other physical requirements include walking, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Specific vision abilities required: distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
