Inspector I (2nd shift)

About the role

The Pursuit Aerospace family of companies is a global manufacturer of complex aircraft engine components, committed to operational excellence, customer service, and innovation. We are seeking an Inspector to join our dynamic team in Eastford, CT.

Responsibilities

• Verifies dimensional and visual conformance to customer requirements
• Accurately completes paperwork relating to counts and scrap
• Collects and completes inspection records using basic inspection tools and methods
• Interprets engineering drawings and specifications and consults with quality, engineering, or leadership staff
• Manages production inspection needs and finished product
• Engages with flow line to assist in maintaining product movement
• Performs first pieces throughout the day
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Working knowledge of basic inspection tools (dial calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.)
• 3 months experience understanding and reading basic blueprint requirements
• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-tasking abilities, adept to managing frequent shifts in priorities
• Absorbs organizational skills, follows direction, and adheres to company quality standards
• 6 months experience using inspection methods (height gage, optical comparator, pi tapes, etc.)

Physical Requirements

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking
• Lifts and carries up to 15 pounds
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time
