Inspector General Aviation

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of products using inspection equipment, techniques, specifications, blueprints, technical data, and customer purchase orders.
• Complete all necessary inspections of products.
• Read and understand material specifications and be knowledgeable of sampling requirements per quality control.
• Issue 8130, certificate of conformance, and perform necessary computer transactions.
• Communicate defective material to production team lead and/or Chief Inspector.
• Segregate defective material awaiting review.
• Maintain inspection equipment and ensure its functionality.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the product team.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow prescribed safety procedures.
• Efficiently perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, small repairs, troubleshooting, and line maintenance on a variety of mid-sized jet, turbo jets, and propeller-driven aircraft.
• Ensure all aircraft are airworthy and that all technical aspects of the plane are documented properly.
• Research, interpret, and apply technical data to the task at hand.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years' experience in corporate aviation as an A&P Mechanic.
• A & P Mechanic certification.
• Prior aircraft ground handling experience.
• High School Diploma.
