About the role
The position involves inspecting tubing for visual defects using microscopes, accurate data recording, and multi-tasking across various areas as needed.
Responsibilities
- Intermediate and final inspection of tubing and tubing prototypes.
- Cross-trained in the flushing and tubing cutting process.
- Accurate recording of data for traceability reporting, statistical process data collection, customer compliance, and quality assurance of medical products.
- Packaging of material.
- Inspection of tubing for visual defects using microscopes and box lights.
- Cutting tubing to specified lengths manually and using automated tubing and braided tubing cutters.
- Flushing tubing, including preparing tubes for cleaning after mandrel removal, and bundling or hanging tubes as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, and division) and assembly experience.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
- Computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to distinguish color and good vision for inspection purposes.
Other Requirements
- Sitting and standing during inspection and cutting processes, with rotation between tasks as needed.
- Occasional lifting from 0.5 pounds to 25 pounds; up to 40 pounds with assistance.
