Inspector / CMM Operator - 2nd Shift

About the role

The purpose of this position is to provide inspection support for quality, manufacturing, and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Program and set up CMMs to perform dimensional measurements and inspections according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Operate CMM equipment to collect measurement data and perform inspections on workpieces.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Analyze measurement data and inspection results to determine the conformance of parts and identify any non-conformities.
• Generate inspection reports and documentation to record measurement results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality-related issues and suggest process improvements.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• One to three years of optical mechanical inspection with Coordinate Measuring Machine experience desired.
• Experience in handling precision components.
• Basic blueprint reading and comprehension.
• Computer fluency to include Windows 10 and newer.
• Standard drawing practices, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) is desired.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: One to three years in optical mechanical inspection with Coordinate Measuring Machine experience desired.
• Skills: Basic blueprint reading and comprehension, computer fluency to include Windows 10 and newer, standard drawing practices, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Pay

The range for this position is $27.00 hourly rate - $32.00 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.

Schedule

This is a second shift position Monday - Thursday, 3:15PM to 1:15AM.
