Inspector
WSP is seeking a Full-Time Inspector for field offices in Syracuse, NY, with other locations including Albany and Cortland.
About the role
Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and contribute to a growing organization that meets client objectives and solves challenges. This role involves providing construction management inspection for multi-trade contracts to ensure compliance with contract requirements, maintaining project schedules and budgets, and meeting client needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, prepare construction reports, and expedite contract execution.
- Supervise inspectors and maintain a written daily log of project progress, workforce, materials, and site issues.
- Identify and resolve problems, conduct meetings, and communicate with team members across roles.
- Monitor contractor safety operations and coordinate with the Regional Safety Manager as needed.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company resources and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects, with supervisory experience.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Construction Inspector, including site/civil work.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach working with clients and contractors/subcontractors.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Track record of upholding workplace safety and compliance with WSP’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol policies.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional extended hours or travel based on project needs.
- This position is contingent upon client approval of candidates.

Pay
Expected compensation range: $38.51 - $52.26 per hour, based on education, experience, skills, and geographic location. WSP reserves the right to adjust pay and benefits based on circumstances unrelated to protected statuses.
