Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough visual and instrumented inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to verify adherence to quality standards and specification requirements.
- Executing testing, sorting, sampling, and weighing activities to validate product consistency and operational performance.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed logs of inspection results and quality metrics to support audit readiness and continuous improvement efforts.
- Communicating findings and working with quality assurance teams to recommend and implement corrective actions to address quality discrepancies.
- Assisting in the development and refinement of standard operating procedures for inspection and testing processes to enhance overall production quality.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience in an inspector, tester, sorter, sampler, or weigher role.
- One or more years of experience must be with communication systems, networks, or technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in executing detailed inspection, testing, sorting, sampling, and weighing procedures in accordance with contractual and DoD requirements.
- Proficient in utilizing precision measurement tools and instruments, such as digital micrometers, calipers, gauges, and scales, to verify material and product compliance with defined specifications.
- Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with quality management systems and industrial statistical process control to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficient in using computer-based data recording systems and software to enhance efficiency in quality tracking and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to troubleshoot defects and streamline inspection processes.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey quality findings and coordinate corrective actions with production and engineering teams.
Skills
