About the role
The Inspector will be responsible for performing vehicle inspections on powersports units such as motorcycles and ATVs. They will prepare documentation of the vehicle’s condition to support the sale of consigned vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Prepare related documentation of overall vehicle condition in support of the processing and sale of client/customer consigned vehicles in lane and online.
- Move motorcycles on the property as required.
- Assess the condition of vehicles upon receipt, noting any damage or repair requirements for various components like frame, paint, engine, AC/heater operation, radio, navigation system, tires, etc.
- Document the vehicle condition through preparation of supporting documentation which includes vehicle identification data, condition descriptions, repair cost estimates, photographs, etc.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable labor rates, parts charges, and manufacturer updates; adhere to inspection and documentation procedures.
- Follow all safety and health-related procedures.
- Locate, start, and move vehicles as directed.
- Perform other job-related duties as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Less than 2 years' experience in a related field
- Valid driver's license required
- Safe driving skills needed
Qualifications
- ASE certification or background in automotive repair and cost estimating preferred
- Knowledge of ICAR certifications preferred
- General knowledge of automotive body and mechanical work preferred
- Previous body shop experience, mechanical experience, and estimating experience preferred
- Knowledge of powersports units preferred
- Vehicle inspection skills
- Documentation and report writing
- Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Safe driving practices
- Minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month

USD 13.70 - 20.53 per hour. The hourly base rate may vary based on factors such as the location of the position and the candidate's qualifications.
Schedule
Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
