About the role

The Inspector uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect visually and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies, or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds. The ideal candidate must be able to work under a microscope, read engineering drawings, part lists, lift up to 30 pounds, sit or stand for long periods of time, and be knowledgeable with using Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Use various measuring devices as described in the Assembly Instruction.
• Utilize released build documentation to make good part/bad part decisions.
• Utilize drawings, part lists, Assembly Instructions, Standard Shop Practices, dial indicators, micrometers, scales, and other tools as defined by the work instruction.
• Utilize SAP (Standards, Applications, and Process) daily to interface with production hardware.
• Review contracts and shipping paperwork for accuracy.
• Work under a microscope.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience in quality, inspection, or manufacturing.
• US Citizenship.
• Able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• J-STD Training or experience.
• IPC-A-610/620 Training or experience.
• Torque Training or experience.
• Experience working in an ESD (electrostatic discharge) environment.
• PPE experience.
• SAP experience.
• Experience with decision-making process.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $48,400.00 - $80,600.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
