Your Expertise

5+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace or general manufacturing environment
Proficient in operating CMMs using PC-DMIS with the ability to read, write and correlate programs
Previous experience performing dimensional and visual inspection in an aerospace environment
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and customer specifications
Strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required
Previous experience performing incoming, in process, and final inspections

Responsibilities

• Create, edit and correlate PC-DMIS programs using a solid model and print, ensuring all relevant data is captured
• Perform final and in-process inspection of aerospace engine parts and components
• Inspect parts using visual and dimensional methods with a CMM, verifying measurements with hard gaging and measuring equipment
• Interpret operation sheets and blueprints to confirm parts meet customer criteria for acceptability
• Ensure all inspected parts meet customer criteria
• Process paperwork for defective or re-worked parts as needed
• Work overtime as needed based on business needs

Requirements

• Working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, hand gages, micrometers, swing gages and other measuring tools

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required

• Proficiency in PC-DMIS
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment
