Inspector 1st shift

Position Summary Use various hand held and bench mounted measuring devices to determine product quality. Perform in-process and final product audits to ensure product conformance to customer requirements. Maintaining and communicating these results to internal customers. Essential Functions Use White light scanning, Faro Arm, contour tracers, comparators, and other measuring tools to assess condition of tooling, gaging, fixtures, and ceramic cores and blocksCustomer first article or CVSR layouts of ceramic coresDimensional inspections of ceramic cores including raw, midpoint, CNC, and final SPC for shipmentsDisposition and label cores or blocks to ensure suspect or nonconforming material is stopped and segregatedPartial periodic die assessmentsMust follow and adhere to all safety proceduresMaintain department standards for housekeeping/6SOther duties as assigned by supervision Required Skills Ability to read micrometers and verniersAbility to organize and maintain documentationWillingness and ability to learn and perform new assignmentsGood written and verbal communications skillsComputer skills and proficient in Excel, Word and OutlookMust be self-directed to accomplish goals with minimal supervision Experience & Education Ability to read blueprintsAbility to interpret specificationAbility to understand basic statisticsLaboratory, metrology, calibration, and/or technician experienceTechnical certifications or Associates degree in technology (Not mandatory) Physical Demands Not at All Infrequently Occasionally Frequently Continually <1% 1-33% 34-66% 67-100% 1-2x hr. 3-6x hr. 7-30 hr. >30x hr.
