About the role
The Exterior Operations Crew plays a crucial role in setting up and maintaining Insomniac’s festivals and events. This position reports to the Director of Exterior Operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as fork lifts, stakebeds, water trucks, dump trucks, front end loaders, skid steers etc.
- Earth moving equipment and/or CDL certifications and experience are a plus.
- Exterior leads are experienced in festival builds or comparable experiences.
- Signage crew hangs signs around the festival perimeter.
- Signage leads direct the signage crew and have a strong understanding of the local area.
- Shuttle loader/unloader works on show days to successfully load & unload headliners from buses.
- Shuttle leads manage the shuttle staff break times, check in bus drivers, ensure buses are running smoothly, and troubleshoot any issues.
Requirements
- Must have a clean motor vehicle report
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be 18 or older
- Must be able to walk long distances for long periods of time, constantly move, and be on feet
- Clean and presentable attire (show blacks)
- Motivated with an “Everything is possible” attitude
- Active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small
- Heavy Equipment certified
- OSHA certified
Qualifications
- Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
- May work in drastic temperature climates
- Willing to frequently travel to work events during holidays, evenings, and weekends, as required, to meet deadlines
