Inside Sales Specialist – Specialties

Team Overview and Job Responsibilities
- Support the sale of products by partnering with Outside Sales and/or Sales Agents to increase sales by managing quote requests, sales leads, product promotions, and analyzing sales data.
- Manage customer requests daily, including phone calls, emails, EDI, and other forms of electronic communication.
- Analyze data supplied by customers to provide pricing and product availability in a timely manner. Empowered to make pricing decisions based on price guidelines, market feedback, and recommendations from Outside Sales.
- Process customer orders and acknowledge them within posted guidelines for various Specialty markets as needed by the business.
- Handle customer returns and claims in a timely manner and initiate corrective actions, if necessary.
- Provide backup assistance and coverage for other teams as needed.
- Interface with various departments within the company, including Shipping, Scheduling, Quality, Manufacturing, Credit, Finance, Engineering, and Product Management, to meet customer needs and ensure timely delivery and accurate receipt of products.
- Review and interpret customer specifications, applications, and terms and conditions with assistance from Engineering or Marketing.
- Continuously develop product knowledge through internal and/or external training initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional projects impacting the department and the organization.
- Be the voice of the customer to the Prysmian organization.

Preferred
- Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in sales, customer service, and/or account management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems.
- Analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of EDI, ERP systems such as SAP or AS 400 Mainframe (a plus).
