About the role
Ives Equipment Corporation, an MCE Company, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join their team in King of Prussia, PA. This role is crucial for serving customers in various industries including pharma, biotech, industrial gas, defense, and food manufacturing. The Inside Sales Representatives work closely with the outside sales team to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Own Your Accounts
- Serve as the primary inside point of contact for a dedicated set of accounts
- Become the person customers trust to handle their needs
- Manage inbound and outbound customer communication promptly and professionally
- Address questions, concerns, and escalations with urgency
- Drive the Sales Process
- Prepare accurate quotes and process orders efficiently
- Ensure all customer-specific requirements are met
- Maintain open orders for on-time delivery based on agreed customer expectations
- Proactively flag issues before they become problems
- Aid in submittal packages and supporting documentation for customer projects
- Keep Things Running Smoothly
- Maintain accurate customer and sales data in the CRM system
- Process documentation, quotations, and purchase orders accurately and on schedule
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and issue resolution
- Prioritize customer requests and coordinate internal resources to meet delivery timelines
- Generate sales pipeline and workflow reports for management on a regular cadence
- Collaborate across internal teams to coordinate order fulfillment and post-sale support for your accounts
Qualifications
- Must Have:
- 3+ years of inside sales, account management, or customer service experience in a technical or industrial environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously without losing accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience with ERP and/or CRM platforms
- Clear, professional communicator — written and verbal — who can build rapport quickly and handle customer issues calmly
- Collaborative team player who works well across inside sales, outside sales, and operations
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience is what matters most
- Nice to Have:
- Process control, process valves, or instrumentation sales experience
- Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21)
- Knowledge of fluid power systems, MRO distribution, or related industrial products
- Fluid power training or industry certifications
- 5+ years of customer success or technical inside sales experience
- Familiarity with the industries Ives serves — pharma/biotech, industrial gas, food manufacturing, federal and defense, or engineering and construction
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field
