Inside Sales Representative / Relief Driver

About the Role

Roberts Oxygen, a trusted name in industrial, medical, and specialty gases and equipment, is seeking a dedicated Inside Sales Representative / Relief Driver to join our team in Hagerstown, MD. This role combines inside sales responsibilities with occasional relief delivery driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to both external and internal customers.
• Assist walk-in visitors and customers promptly and professionally, and answer phones courteously.
• Process customer sales transactions while building long-term relationships to drive future sales growth and profitability.
• Support sales staff and management with timely and accurate customer information, follow-up scheduling, and branch coverage, including relief delivery driving duties.
• Safely maneuver, load, and unload cylinders or other products on trailers and customer transportation.
• Adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Demonstrate basic mathematical aptitude and perform data entry tasks.

Requirements

• 2 years of inside sales and customer service experience, or welding experience.
• Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent driving record; Class A or B CDL required.
• Proven customer service experience through respectful and thoughtful interactions.
• Basic computer skills, including internet searching, data entry, and ability to learn new programs.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• High school education or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings if selected.
• Strong attendance, dependability, and commitment to high performance.
