About the role

Corrpro Companies, a corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for our Materials Group. This position will be based in Texas or California and focuses on the sale and support of the materials product line in an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales and margin goals for the Materials product line.
  • Maximize price through market knowledge and maintain strong customer relationships within your territory.
  • Generate, qualify, and develop leads that result in Material sales.
  • Manage the proposal and order entry process, and assist with logistics for the Materials business.
  • Establish professional customer and vendor relationships as needed.
  • Ensure daily sales activity (quotes, orders, and customer/vendor issues) is up to date in Salesforce (CRM).
  • Remain current on market trends, competitive activity, and product development.
  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of Corrpro’s products and services.
  • Work with Commercial and Business Development Managers to gather current material costs and maximize sales.
  • Assist Accounts Receivable in collections, problem resolution, and assessing customers’ creditworthiness.
  • Generate and document market intelligence for assigned accounts, including market size, buying practices, and decision-makers.
  • Attend trade shows and conventions to promote company products and services.
  • Willing to work in-office with possible hybrid arrangements after an initial period.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or High School Diploma required.
  • 3 years of proven inside sales (hunting and farming) experience with a strong customer service background.
  • Technical sales experience or knowledge/training in the corrosion services or monitoring industry preferred.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce (or other CRM).
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and apply basic statistical concepts (e.g., discounts, proportions, percentages).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade, motivate, and empower clients and co-workers.
  • Experience dealing with individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and a team player.
