Inside Sales Representative – Electrical Equipment

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate, competitive, and timely quotations, proposals, and bid packages.
  • Request, evaluate, and negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Cook up and coordinate with customers, vendors, purchasing, logistics, engineering, and outside sales throughout the quotation process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during the proposal stage, providing responsive and professional support.
  • Maintain accurate customer, quotation, and opportunity information within the company's CRM/ERP systems.
  • Prepare sales activity reports, quotation metrics, pipeline updates, and forecasting information.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, supplier lead times, and competitive activity.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance sales efficiency and customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of Inside Sales, Technical Sales Support, Project Coordination, or Customer Service experience. Experience in electrical equipment, industrial products, power systems, EPC projects, or related industries is highly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable: Power transformers, Switchgear, Power distribution equipment, Electrical components, Industrial electrical systems.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, strong organizational and multitasking abilities, high attention to detail and accuracy, negotiation skills with suppliers and manufacturers, strong customer service orientation, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and CRM/ERP systems.
  • Language: Fluent English required. Spanish is a strong plus.
