Inside Sales Representative (Building Materials)
Weyerhaeuser is hiring a driven Inside Sales Representative to support the Northern California market from the Stockton or Redding Distribution Center. In this role, you’ll work closely with our sales team, learn our proven sales approach, and build strong relationships with customers.
About the role
From an inside sales position, you will build and maintain relationships with customers in the Oregon Coast, Central California, and Nevada regions. As an integrated member of the local sales team, you will focus on delivering value to customers and achieving sales margin growth expectations. The Inside Sales Representative is actively involved in day-to-day selling activity and serves as the focal point for order entry and order management. You will promote and sell Distribution's full range of products, including engineered wood, commodities, and specialty building products.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate knowledge, relationships, and position of influence to proactively sell the full range of products to established and prospective customers.
- Directly transact sales activity and manage sales order entry and order management.
- Respond to, investigate, and resolve relationship-based sales issues of varying levels of complexity.
- Manage established customer programs and assist with developing new customer programs.
- Maintain and grow customer relationships both individually and collaboratively with the sales team.
- Gather market intelligence and translate it into valuable input to drive decisions around product mix, pricing, inventory levels, and demand outlook.
- Execute marketing and communication plans with customers, including promotions, specials, market pull-through activities, and updates to products, pricing, and service.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years’ experience in sales and customer service.
- Broad level of experience with building materials products.
- Knowledge of factors influencing profitability and basic financial drivers of retail, wholesale, and construction industries.

Pay
This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, with a targeted hourly range of $30.69 - $46.00 based on skills, qualifications, and experience. You will also be eligible for our Sales Incentive Program, which offers a quarterly cash bonus.
