Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new customer opportunities while building strong relationships within your territory.
  • Consult with customers to understand project requirements, provide product recommendations, and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Prepare professional project estimates and quotes for metal building systems, residential metal roofing, and component products while actively following up to secure new business.
  • Manage the sales process from initial inquiry through order completion, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Review orders thoroughly with customers prior to submission to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
  • Enter orders into company systems and coordinate with internal teams to ensure products and services are delivered accurately, on time, and according to customer expectations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, providing exceptional service and timely communication.
  • Resolve post-delivery issues including shortages, damages, delays, changes, and field-related concerns while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company pricing guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments to address concerns, communicate project updates, and support successful project outcomes.
  • Monitor market activity, competitive trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service by providing responsive support, accurate information, and proactive follow-up.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure customers receive the best possible experience from quote through delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales, customer service, inside sales, or service-oriented environment preferred
  • Strong customer service, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills
  • Detailed with excellent organizational abilities
  • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and strong work ethic
  • Proficiency with computers and business software applications required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on your feet for extended periods as needed
  • Work environment may include exposure to moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, fumes, and non-climate-controlled areas
  • Ability to work effectively in environments with varying noise levels
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing and office setting while interacting with customers and internal teams
