Responsibilities

  • Prepare quotations, sales orders, and purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Support outside sales representatives with pricing, product selection, availability, and technical coordination.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell Pioneer Industrial products and services.
  • Follow up on open quotations and customer requests.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors on pricing, lead times, and order status.
  • Expedite orders to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely communication throughout the order process.
  • Maintain customer and order information within the ERP system.
  • Coordinate with internal shop personnel on repair, service, and distribution orders.
  • Communicate schedules and customer expectations to ensure timely execution of customer orders.
  • Work closely with branch personnel, operations, purchasing, and outside sales.
  • Support branch objectives by maintaining high levels of responsiveness, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Industrial distribution and/or industrial service experience preferred.
  • Experience with valves, pumps, mechanical seals, sealing products, instrumentation, pipe, fittings, steam specialties, or other industrial process equipment is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems required; NetSuite experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude with a strong commitment to customer service.
