Inside Sales Representative

Responsibilities

• Initiate sales, take orders, and meet customer needs.
• Manage assigned product lines, including selecting vendors, managing inventory, and promoting products.
• Contact customers about market fluctuations and trends.
• Coordinate customer deliveries and communicate customer service requirements to location’s customer service representatives.
• Coordinate with shipping personnel for deliveries.
• Perform freight/trucking specialist responsibilities at some locations.
• Contact vendors as necessary regarding products.
• Aid outside sales staff and product managers.
• Assist in developing and executing marketing programs, promotions, and new product research.
• Provide leadership to sales support staff.
• Show a strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: College degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of building products, ability to understand and apply mathematical concepts, effective communication skills, ability to work independently or in teams, knowledge of office equipment and software.
