Inside Sales Representative
About the Role
As an Inside Sales Representative with FCX Performance/Pump Energy, you will establish and expand relationships with current customers and our outside sales team. You'll spend your time interacting with customers to determine their process flow control and instrumentation needs, while providing solutions to meet those needs. You will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, retention, and sales results.
Responsibilities
- Sell company products and services to customers by processing orders, price and delivery inquiries, providing technical and application information, soliciting customer orders, and suggesting additional products in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Maintain responsibility of orders from quotation to collection, including selecting and specifying products, responding to customer inquiries, processing orders, reviewing purchase orders, checking availability, and verifying ship dates.
- Increase order size by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customer's buying history.
- Process and expedite orders, customer returns, and returns to vendors accurately and timely.
- Locate products and create purchase orders, follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery, and negotiate pricing and delivery when necessary.
- Work closely with Outside Sales in soliciting business, executing order transactions, and maintaining superior customer service levels.
- Communicate effectively and participate positively as a member of the Branch/Division inside sales team.
- Maximize gross margin by ensuring FCX gets paid for superior service, problem-solving, and technical expertise.
- Review open customer order reports and take action on open items, especially those at risk of missing promised delivery dates.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 1-3+ years' experience in a Customer Service-related Industry, preferably in an Inside Technical Sales/Customer Service/Application Engineer role with an Industrial Distributor.
