Inside Sales Representative
About the role
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will help customers identify solutions that meet their needs while contributing to business growth in a fast-paced sales environment. You will be a key point of contact for customers, support sales opportunities from inquiry through order follow-up, and partner with team members to deliver a responsive, professional customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer inquiries, quotations, and sales opportunities from initial contact through follow-up.
- Develop strong professional relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to sales growth goals.
- Follow up on leads, quotations, and customer requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate customer, account, and opportunity information in CRM systems.
- Partner with field sales, customer service, operations, and marketing teams to support customer needs.
- Participate in the sales bullpen by sharing market insights, reviewing opportunities, and contributing to team sales strategies.
- Build product knowledge and communicate product features, benefits, and value to customers.
- Monitor customer activity and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and related documentation as needed.
- Support continuous improvement efforts that enhance the customer experience and sales effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two or more years of experience in inside sales, customer service, account management, or a related commercial role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop professional relationships and support customer decisions through consultative selling.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Customer-centered approach with attention to detail and follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical product environment.
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems.
- Experience supporting sales growth, customer retention, or pipeline management.
- Knowledge of sales forecasting and opportunity tracking.
Pay
Salary range: $70,000 – $80,000 USD (salaried). Incentive compensation available.
The actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market/business considerations, and geographic location.
