Inside Sales Professional - Driver

The Inside Sales Professional - Driver identifies and serves customer needs, assists in obtaining products or information, and provides excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders received in person, by phone, fax, or e-commerce, including company transfers and delivery requests
• Locate parts, equipment, and supplies for customers from various sources
• Support long-term business relationships to promote sales growth and gain customer acceptance
• Assist in warehouse duties, including pulling orders, putting away stock, and occasionally operating a forklift
• Promote new and existing products, upgrades, and services
• Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance to customers
• Identify prospective customers and communicate prospects to the sales team
• Maintain a professional sales facility by restocking and maintaining showroom shelves and product displays
• Process warranties and perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
• Make occasional deliveries using a site vehicle
• Participate in after-hours on-call duties and training classes
• Work overtime as assigned and cooperate with others
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Maintain regular, punctual, and reliable physical attendance and availability

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of customer service and/or sales experience
• 2 years’ experience in the HVAC industry (preferred)
• Proficient in computers, including Microsoft Office
• Forklift experience
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies
• Qualify for and remain insurable under Company liability insurance policy
• Meet federal and state requirements to operate the vehicle
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
• Ability to work in environments as cold as 20 degrees or as hot as 105 degrees
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Physical requirements: stand, walk, sit, lay on the floor, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, or smell

Travel

5% travel to branches and other operating companies, requiring some overnight stays; travel to industry-related conferences and training may require extended stays.
