Identify and serve customer needs, assist in obtaining products or information, and provide excellent customer service while fulfilling diverse customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Process customer orders received in person, by phone, fax, or e-commerce, including company transfers and delivery requests.
- Locate parts, equipment, and supplies for customers from various sources.
- Support long-term business relationships to promote sales growth and product acceptance.
- Assist in warehouse duties, including pulling orders, stocking, and occasional forklift operation.
- Promote new and existing products, upgrades, and services.
- Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance to customers.
- Identify prospective customers and communicate leads to the sales team (Territory Managers or Account Executives).
- Maintain a professional sales facility by restocking and organizing showroom shelves and product displays.
- Process warranties and perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Make occasional deliveries using a company vehicle.
- Participate in after-hours on-call duties and training classes.
- Work overtime as assigned and cooperate with team members.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular, punctual, and reliable attendance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of customer service and/or sales experience.
- 2 years’ experience in the HVAC industry (preferred).
- Proficient in computers, including Microsoft Office.
- Forklift experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies.
- Qualify for and remain insurable under Company liability insurance policy.
- Meet federal and state requirements to operate company vehicles.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Capable of working in environments ranging from 20°F to 105°F.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use hands to handle tools or controls.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Travel
5% travel to branches and other operating companies, requiring some overnight stays. Travel to industry-related conferences and training may require extended stays.
