Inside Sales Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to join our team. This role involves driving sales and revenue growth by providing technical product information and support to customers, identifying new business opportunities, and managing existing customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Complete an extensive hands-on training program including time in a manufacturing environment
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services, including features, benefits, and technical specifications
- Provide technical information and support to customers to help them understand and select the appropriate products for their needs
- Respond to inbound sales calls from our established customer base for product and pricing information, order status, or delivery confirmation
- Actively reach out to existing customers through phone calls, emails, and other communication channels to generate sales
- Enter orders and quotes for stock and custom manufactured components and systems
- Cook up with Outside Sales on open opportunities in their sales territories and work together to grow customer sales
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's in engineering degree required
- 1-2 years of sales/customer service experience is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude or technical inclination is required
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Sense of urgency in responding to customer requests
- Self-starter attitude with the drive to succeed and achieve goals
- Independent ability to evaluate situations, solve problems, and make decisions
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Computer proficiency and organizational skills
- Experience with Microsoft AX is a plus

Schedule
To perform this job successfully, you must be able to report daily to the branch to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
