Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain target lists of potential customers.
  • Follow up with pre-qualified leads as assigned.
  • Cold call and follow up with prospects to understand their businesses and identify partnership opportunities.
  • Build and manage relationships with key customers to ensure satisfaction and account stability.
  • Re-engage inactive accounts within relevant trades to explore new sales opportunities; maintain accurate call lists and account data.
  • Conduct monthly business reviews for key accounts using sales and item velocity reports.
  • Communicate new product offerings, promotions, and marketing initiatives to customers.
  • Develop competitive pricing proposals and submit Requests for Price Adjustment (RPA).
  • Communicate market trends, pricing changes, and strategic insights to the Confectionery Sales leadership.
  • Collaborate with customer service to identify and pursue incremental sales opportunities with current accounts.
  • Present products and promotions in the Nassau Candy showroom; visit key customers in the field as appropriate.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to network, build relationships, and promote Nassau Candy’s brand.
  • Maintain knowledge of confectionery trends, innovations, and market dynamics.
  • Perform additional projects or assignments as directed by the department.

Minimum Requirements

  • A High School Diploma required; a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Proven success in sales, preferably within confectionery, food, or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
  • Highly assertive, self-motivated, and results-driven.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Service-oriented mindset with demonstrated selling and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM tools preferred.
