Essential Functions
- Develop and maintain target lists of potential customers.
- Follow up with pre-qualified leads as assigned.
- Cold call and follow up with prospects to understand their businesses and identify partnership opportunities.
- Build and manage relationships with key customers to ensure satisfaction and account stability.
- Re-engage inactive accounts within relevant trades to explore new sales opportunities; maintain accurate call lists and account data.
- Conduct monthly business reviews for key accounts using sales and item velocity reports.
- Communicate new product offerings, promotions, and marketing initiatives to customers.
- Develop competitive pricing proposals and submit Requests for Price Adjustment (RPA).
- Communicate market trends, pricing changes, and strategic insights to the Confectionery Sales leadership.
- Collaborate with customer service to identify and pursue incremental sales opportunities with current accounts.
- Present products and promotions in the Nassau Candy showroom; visit key customers in the field as appropriate.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to network, build relationships, and promote Nassau Candy’s brand.
- Maintain knowledge of confectionery trends, innovations, and market dynamics.
- Perform additional projects or assignments as directed by the department.
Minimum Requirements
- A High School Diploma required; a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Proven success in sales, preferably within confectionery, food, or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
- Highly assertive, self-motivated, and results-driven.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Service-oriented mindset with demonstrated selling and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM tools preferred.
