Inside Sales Associate

About the role

This is a unique opportunity to help build something from the ground up. Conklin Metal Industries is opening and expanding its Tampa branch and is seeking an Inside Sales Associate who wants to be part of a growing team, make an immediate impact, and grow their career alongside the branch.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer sales via phone, email, text, and walk-ins
• Answer incoming calls and route or assist customers appropriately
• Enter orders, quotes, and sales transactions accurately
• Serve as the liaison between the branch and Territory Managers
• Support Territory Managers with quotes, order entry, and product sourcing
• Initiate and support new customer account setups
• Capture and communicate customer-specific needs (delivery requirements, preferences, etc.)
• Support inventory by communicating product needs and demand trends to the Branch Manager and Replenishment team
• Cook up and communicate customer-specific needs (delivery requirements, preferences, etc.)

• Aid in multiple branch needs and jump in wherever help is needed

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of HVAC industry experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Office 365, Word, and Excel
• Strong typing and data-entry skills
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Prophet 21 / P21 preferred)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Flexible and willing to support multiple roles as needed

Qualifications
