About the role
As an Engineered Sales, you will serve as both a sales strategist and technical consultant, helping customers design, select, and implement equipment that improves performance and efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity for a technical sales professional who enjoys being hands-on with equipment, solving complex problems, and building lasting relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead outside sales activities for pumps, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems.
- Help design, select, and size equipment to meet specifications and project goals.
- Develop detailed quotes and proposals, ensuring technical accuracy and clarity.
- Partner with internal teams to deliver custom-engineered solutions that exceed customer expectations.
- Negotiate vendor pricing, coordinate purchasing, and track deliveries and project timelines.
- Maintain accurate project budgets, ensuring financial and operational success.
- Troubleshoot field issues and support clients during startup, installation, and operation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical, mechanical, or industrial sales (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field preferred — or equivalent hands-on experience in rotating or mechanical equipment sales.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with CRM software for tracking clients and opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Familiar with OSHA safety standards and best job site practices.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Must pass a preemployment drug screening and background check.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $55,000 - $65,000
