Skills you will gain

  • Working knowledge of customer profiles and requirements

  • Ability to work non-complex orders through the entire process with minimal errors or recognize issues requiring escalation
  • Collaborative skills to learn necessary tasks, provide backup, and prepare communications for Account Executives
  • Knowledge of major product lines and how that technology performs for customers
  • Ability to ask consultative questions to determine the best technology for customers
  • Ability to quote and book orders from Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Focus on one solution set, including hardware and software components, to learn its details

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and regenerate interest from inactive client accounts through cold calling, emailing, and social media cadences
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and the Marketing team to drive prospects to company events
  • Pull and scrub leads lists from B2B data platforms, setting appropriate filters and parameters to develop targeted prospect lists
  • Maintain communications and an organized leads database in CRM, including leads from online databases, Account Executives, marketing campaigns, partner manufacturers, 3rd party campaigns, 90-day no-touch accounts, and software/support renewals
  • Provide pertinent notes in databases regarding client needs, budgets, and timelines
  • Attend workshops, training, VectorUSA-hosted, and 3rd party events as directed by management
  • Perform day-to-day management functions to ensure accurate and timely delivery of hardware, software, and services
  • Provide high-level administrative support to Account Executives, including company prospecting, research, and creating/editing customer-facing proposals
  • Generate requested quotes and manage/follow up on deployment or sales orders
  • Troubleshoot account issues and follow up with customers when status changes occur (e.g., delays or product discontinuation)
  • Ensure documentation is complete and accurate
  • Provide post-sale support, including handling return merchandise authorizations, accounts receivable issues, and other customer service satisfaction matters
  • Effectively use VectorUSA’s internal contact and quoting systems in CRM and FileMaker
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and clear, concise, professional communication
  • Can-do attitude and business mindset
  • Strong verbal and writing abilities with extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to absorb technical information and execute tasks
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Superior knowledge of the Internet, MS Office suite, CRM systems, and social media (e.g., LinkedIn)
  • Ability to cold-call and act as a liaison between customers and Account Managers
  • Excellent, assertive, courteous, diplomatic, and tactful communication skills for interacting with staff, partner manufacturers, prospects, and clients
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
  • Excellent time management, calendaring, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to learn and retain knowledge of a wide variety of technologies
  • Excellent client qualification and follow-up skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments and schedules for setting appointments
  • Ability to make appropriate job decisions following standard office policies and past precedents
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Flexibility to adapt to constantly changing business demands

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience, or equivalent corporate training
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience (inside/outbound or outside sales) with a track record of success (enterprise technology sales experience is a plus)
  • Knowledge and understanding of CRM systems

Work Environment

  • Typically exposed to office noises and interruptions such as printers, phones, and clients; noise level may be loud
  • Sitting for extended periods
  • Occasional walking up and down stairs
  • Lifting: 5 lbs (95% of the time), 5-25 lbs (5% of the time), max 25 lbs
  • Equipment usage: Computer (70%), Phone and Electronic Devices (30%)
  • Occasional traveling and working at remote locations, causing exposure to outdoor elements and a variety of indoor environments

Pay

Compensation range starting at $55,000.00 per year.
