About the role

Snider Fleet Solutions is seeking skilled Truck and Trailer Mechanics to join our team at multiple locations. This role focuses on performing essential maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including preventive maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and completing associated paperwork.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks along with documentation
  • Repair and maintain heavy duty trucks and trailers
  • Perform PM Inspection, brake job, brake chamber and slack adjuster replacement, wheel seal replacement, and wheel end adjustment
  • Examine all system parts for damage, excessive wear, loose bolts, broken welds, structural deficiencies, air leaks, oil leaks, stuck, frozen, or rusted parts, as well as safety devices on all types of trailers
  • Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely manner
  • Accurately fill out work order forms, ensuring all parts are included
  • Follow safety protocols and company policies

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ year of diesel mechanic experience
  • Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification required (within 6 months of hire)
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read technical manuals and instructions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and customer service-oriented
  • Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment
