Responsibilities
- Sources new sales opportunities via inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls/emails.
- Researches potential leads using all available resources.
- Qualifies incoming leads and routes to the appropriate outside sales representative.
- Prepares and provides accurate quotes and proposals to prospects and customers.
- Understands APX pricing strategy and collaborates with sales management to deliver optimal customer solutions while achieving corporate goals.
- Consistently follows up on all outstanding opportunities.
- Adheres to the delegation of authority policy for pricing approvals and documentation.
- Answers incoming sales calls professionally and promptly.
- Responds quickly to prospect and customer inquiries, providing regular updates.
- Affords assistance in resolving customer issues and concerns.
- Facilitates communication between sales, engineering, operations, logistics, and accounting teams.
- Coordinates meetings and conference calls with prospects and customers, assembling the appropriate internal team.
- Builds strong relationships with inside sales representatives and other departments to drive overall company success.
- Develops a deep understanding of APX’s products, services, and industry trends.
- Provides consultative solutions, demonstrating how products/services address specific client needs.
- Stays informed about competitive offerings and market dynamics.
- Maintains an up-to-date understanding of the sales pipeline and account/project statuses.
- Provides weekly work plans and activity reports to the sales manager.
- Updates and maintains all customer records in the APX customer database.
- Participates in ongoing sales and professional development training.
- Performs other tasks as assigned to support the sales and operations teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3–5 years in inside sales, account management, customer success, or a similar client-facing role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills; able to articulate complex information clearly.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills; able to connect with diverse personalities.
- Customer Focus: Proactive and empathetic approach to meeting client needs.
- Negotiation: Skilled in contract negotiation and reaching mutually beneficial agreements.
