About the role
The Insert Inspection Lead works closely with the Line Supervisor and Scheduling to ensure all components are inspected correctly, on time, and efficiently. This role may involve performing insert inspections, operating inspection equipment, completing paperwork, and releasing inspected inventory. The Lead collaborates with supervision and employees to ensure compliance with cGMPs, Praxis’ SOPs, policies, and work instructions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure inspection lines operate properly and efficiently.
- Assist the Line Supervisor with daily management of insert inspection technicians.
- Ensure all inspections are completed properly and in a timely manner.
- Complete required paperwork and account for all inventory assigned to the line, both in process and at the end of the job run.
- Issue inventory tags and release inspected components.
- Operate, set up, and troubleshoot inspection equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance as required by Praxis’s PM program.
- Monitor cleanups and changeovers to maintain a clear and clean line.
- Communicate problems or concerns with the Lead, Line Supervisor, and/or Shift Supervisor.
- Understand controls on inspection equipment and processes.
- Maintain efficient productivity rates while complying with safety, quality, and GMP practices.
- Ensure products meet quality and efficiency standards set by the company.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Instill a sense of quality through modeled behaviors and mindset.
- Ensure proper PPE and safety procedures are followed.
- Perform additional tasks such as cartooning, labeling, de-palletizing, dump hopper operations, bundling, skid bundling, and shrink wrapping when inspections are not needed.
- Perform any other duties assigned to support the smooth and efficient operation of Praxis Packaging Solutions.
Requirements
- Previous work experience and leadership experience preferred.
- 2-3 years of work experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
Pay
USD $23.00 per hour.
Schedule
Flexible shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours as needed.
