Inplant Ink Technician

About the role

The Inplant Ink Technician will work at a customer's site to maintain INX's on-site ink room, serving as a liaison between INX and the customer. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining INX's excellent relationship with the customer
• Reviewing scheduling and coordinating jobs with the customer
• Being available for service call-ins as needed
• Performing technical service, color matching, ink production, and dispensing ink
• Evaluating production requirements based on customer schedule changes
• Controlling Work-off
• Inventory management and monthly consignment counts
• Performing job estimates
• Providing press-side technical support
• Completing monthly reports
• Performing Quality Control tests on incoming and site-manufactured batches
• Following all safety requirements
• Data entry accuracy
• Manufacturing batches under 100 pounds

Qualifications

• High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
• Ability to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test
• Excellent customer service skills
• Effective communication with peers and customers
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite programs and other computer skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
• Good organization skills
• 2 to 5 years of work related experience
• Plus: Spectrophotometer knowledge & experience helpful, Technically qualified to service Offset Sheetfed products, Familiar with X-Rite IQC, Flexible packaging knowledge, Flexographic printing knowledge, Solvent ink knowledge, Previous lab, inplant, and warehouse experience, SAP Knowledge, Inplant pressroom experience, College degree
