About the Role
Provides direct patient care on a 68-bed surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care in accordance with standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
Responsibilities
- Develops and documents individualized care plans with interdisciplinary team collaboration.
- Ensures effective communication of care plans across the continuum.
- Assesses physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs, addressing patient preferences and barriers.
- Participates in patient safety, quality, and regulatory activities.
- Engages in professional development.
- Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness and safety standards.
Requirements
- Active RN license required.
- Nursing diploma or associate's degree necessary; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred for higher education levels.
- Prior supervisory experience is not necessary.
