Inpatient Respiratory Therapist (Weekend)

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs routine and critical respiratory care procedures across diverse patient populations, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric. They are responsible for evaluating patient responses, administering and charting therapies, managing oxygen, aerosol, and ventilator support, and conducting blood gas analyses. Additional duties include equipment maintenance, assisting with airway management, and participating in patient assessments. The role may involve training in endotracheal intubation and arterial line insertion, and taking on charge responsibilities. Qualified candidates must hold an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy and be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in Illinois, with National Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
