About the Role
In the Inpatient Rehab Unit at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides inpatient care for adult patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions requiring intensive therapy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and pain management interventions as prescribed.
- Monitor for complications, infections, or changes in condition, responding appropriately to emergencies.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote functional independence.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Valid RN license in Connecticut.
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Two or more years of rehabilitation, orthopedic, or med-surg nursing in an acute inpatient setting.
