Inpatient Registered Nurse - RN - Dialysis Nights

Role: Inpatient RN CAP 2 is responsible for providing and coordinating clinically competent care for assigned patients in a dialysis setting. This includes assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and delegation of tasks to care staff such as RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and technicians. Key Duties: Performing patient data collection and analysis, adjusting treatment plans, administering medications, monitoring responses, and managing emergencies. The role involves patient education, collaboration with healthcare teams, and ensuring continuity of care. Leadership duties include mentoring and serving as a resource for staff, with potential supervision of other care team members. Qualifications & Skills: Current state licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and a minimum of 2 years of nephrology nursing experience. Preferably with acute dialysis experience. Ability to perform heavy lifting, standing for prolonged periods, and assist with patient mobility. Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and adherence to policies are essential. Additional Requirements: Completion of CAP requirements, physical ability to handle work demands, and participation in on-call duties. May be required to provide specialized care instructions and assist in outpatient settings. The position involves working in a healthcare environment with exposure to infectious materials and the need for compliance with safety standards.
