Employment Type Part time Shift Rotating Shift Description Come join our Pharmacy team at Saint Mary's Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England! Position Purpose Following prescribed procedures, assists in processing physician prescriptions to ensure medications are promptly, accurately, and safely filled. Prepares various medications and assists supervising pharmacist. Assists with patient questions and service. Maintains records related to drug use and charges. What You Will Do Utilize pharmacy computer system and be responsible for inputting, retrieving and analyzing data in that systemPrepare prescriptions under the supervision of registered pharmacistPrepare and prioritize prescriptions according to needProper cash handling and cash control as well as completing day-to-day retail transactions in a friendly and efficient mannerTrack inventory and assist with ordering on a daily basis Minimum Qualifications Minimum high school diploma or equivalentCurrent state (CT) registration as a Pharmacy Technician is requiredPrevious experience strongly preferredNational PTCB certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred Position Highlights And Benefits per diem mostly days and eves, shift and weekend differentials will apply Ministry/Facility Information Saint Mary’s Hospital is a Catholic, not-for-profit, community teaching hospital that has been serving patients in Waterbury, CT and our surrounding communities since 1909.
