Responsibilities

  • Dispense, compound, label, store, and ensure the proper use of pharmaceutical preparations.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the department.
  • Direct Pharmacy Technicians and advance the goals of Norton Healthcare.
  • Ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes for individual patients using principles of pharmaceutical care.
  • Provide pharmacy-related education to pharmacists, technicians, other health care practitioners, and the public.
  • Exercise leadership in all matters related to the medication use process for patients of all ages.
  • Support and facilitate the QI process through ongoing development and monitoring of performance improvement indicators.
  • Growth and facilitation of Pharmacy work teams to meet quality, clinical standards of care.
  • Assist the Director in providing effective and efficient use of all resources and ensuring budget and value proposition targets are met.
  • Work on non-standardized tasks requiring professional judgment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy
  • Desired: Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy
  • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist
