Responsibilities
- Dispense, compound, label, store, and ensure the proper use of pharmaceutical preparations.
- Contribute to the efficient operation of the department.
- Direct Pharmacy Technicians and advance the goals of Norton Healthcare.
- Ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes for individual patients using principles of pharmaceutical care.
- Provide pharmacy-related education to pharmacists, technicians, other health care practitioners, and the public.
- Exercise leadership in all matters related to the medication use process for patients of all ages.
- Support and facilitate the QI process through ongoing development and monitoring of performance improvement indicators.
- Growth and facilitation of Pharmacy work teams to meet quality, clinical standards of care.
- Assist the Director in providing effective and efficient use of all resources and ensuring budget and value proposition targets are met.
- Work on non-standardized tasks requiring professional judgment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy
- Desired: Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy
- Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist
