Responsibilities
- Provide holistic and supportive care for patients with advanced illnesses — primarily in oncology, neurology (stroke, dementia, etc.), pulmonary (COPD, respiratory failure, etc.), and gastrointestinal diseases.
- Part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team focused on improving quality of life and managing symptoms.
Requirements
- Experience with disease process
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with symptom management
- End of life care
- Advanced care planning
Qualifications
- Masters Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant School
- Current licensure by the State of Virginia as a Physician Assistant
- Absolute requirement for ACLS certification (only for LFM)
- Minimum of two (2+) years of progressive experience in area of specialization

Pay
- 8:00 – 5:00pm Monday - Friday
- 6 – 10 patients per day, a mix of new admits and follow up patients
- 2 Physicians and 4 APPs
- Calls – 1:4 one weekend a month and one weekday a week – calls are usually taken from home, will require coming to see the patient occasionally.
