About the role
The Occupational Therapist at Centerpoint Medical Center is responsible for carrying out individualized therapy programs, establishing treatment goals, coordinating with other clinical/therapeutic services, educating patients, families, students, and colleagues, and modifying care plans as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient.
- Cook up the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.
- Develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.
- Deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient’s needs.
- Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and colleagues.
Requirements
- Minimum education required is a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred.
- State of Practice Occupational Therapy License.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- New graduates from accredited school may apply.
