Inpatient OB ED, 3-1200/3-3600 - Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant/Certified Nurse Midwife

This position is located at 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, New York, 14642, within the Department 500604 OB‑Gyn APP. It is a regular, full‑time role (40 scheduled weekly hours) with a rotating work shift (UR‑Rotating).

Responsibilities

• Exciting opportunity to join the OB/GYN inpatient team in the care of low, moderate, and high‑risk antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecology patients.
• A collaborative partner with an interdisciplinary team of faculty physicians, residents, and APPs in the care and management of obstetric and gynecologic patients, learning to cross‑cover for OB ED, 3‑1200 and 3‑3600 units.
• Responsible for direct patient care, documentation of care delivered, adherence to hospital and nursing policies, procedures, and standards, education of patients, staff, residents, and students, assurance of service excellence, completion of state and hospital‑required reviews of practice, and participation in performance improvement and other activities as required.
• Opportunity to learn newborn circumcision and Nexplanon insertion.
• NP/PA/CNM full‑time schedule: 7a‑7p, weekday and weekend.

Requirements

• NYS certification as an NP/CNM/PA; certification at the national level that permits the ability to bill for services.
• Excellent teamwork skills required.
• Certification in Fetal Monitoring is required within 12 months of hire, and ongoing documentation of competency in Fetal Monitoring is required every 2 years.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner/Certified Nurse Midwife: Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing.
• Physician Assistant: Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program,
