Inpatient Nurse Tech - 7a-7p

Oklahoma Surgical Hospital (OSH) is a physician-owned facility dedicated to providing high-quality personalized healthcare. We are seeking Full Time Inpatient Nurse Techs who are passionate about joining our team of over 550 professionals.

Responsibilities

• Work 7a-7p, including one Saturday a month
• Monday - Friday, 8-hour day shifts
• Assist registered nurses by assuming responsibility and accountability for direct and indirect patient care
• Avoid direct patient care responsibilities as per OSH policy
• Support nursing and medical staff in achieving optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Maintain current competency as a Nurse Technician as outlined in the department's competency program
• Basic Life Support certification prior to start date, or class to be taken at OSH within 60 days free of charge
• Zero to six months prior to experience as a Nurse Aide in a healthcare environment, or completion of a Nurse Aide or EMT training program preferred

Specialty Knowledge Skills

• Cognitive, technical, and interpersonal skills required to deliver direct and indirect care under the direction of a RN
• Cooperation and strong "team" focus required
• Knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in current caregiver practices, which are unit/age specific
