Responsibilities
- Review medication orders for safety and appropriateness
- Ensure timely medication preparation and delivery
- Counsel patients to promote adherence
- Maintain compliance with regulations
- Supervise pharmacy support staff
- Offer clinical consultation to healthcare professionals
- Identify process improvements to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
- Valid pharmacy license
- Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws
- Effective communication, people management, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in integrated healthcare systems
- Board certification
- Health system residency
Physical & Additional Requirements
- Ability to read labels, use computer systems, and manipulate pharmacy supplies accurately
- Strong verbal communication skills for interactions with staff and patients
