About the role
The Clinical Dietitian provides Medical Nutrition Therapy to patients across diverse ages and conditions, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based nutrition care in inpatient, outpatient, and home care settings.
Responsibilities
- Manage nutritional care, including screening, care planning, education, and monitoring.
- Guide and educate patients of all ages towards balanced diets tailored to their understanding.
- Assist in menu planning, food quality monitoring, and participate in nutrition programs.
- Provide training for dietetic interns and participate in interdisciplinary care conferences.
- Support patient education material development and ensure quality nutrition services.
- Consult for home care services as required by licensing agencies.
- Contribute to in-service training for staff and assist in developing nutrition resources.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (IDFPR) and Registered Dietitian (CDR).
- Strong knowledge of nutrition care, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Creative, communicative, and capable of tailoring education to patient comprehension.
- Ability to utilize nutrition software and participate in team meetings.
