Innovation Product Lead
We are representing a major global law firm, seeking an Innovation Product Lead to drive strategy and optimization for its core AI platforms. This role operates at the intersection of product management, vendor strategy, and legal tech innovation, owning relationships with key AI providers, shaping product roadmaps, and guiding the firm on feature adoption, risk, and rollout decisions—all in a law firm setting.
About the role
The ideal candidate brings deep SaaS and AI product lifecycle experience, a strong grasp of AI-enabled tools in enterprise environments, and the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders. This individual will also play a critical role in training strategy, user adoption, and evaluating overlapping technologies to ensure the firm is leveraging the right tools at the right time. Candidates should have strong experience working with legal or professional services teams.
Responsibilities
- Impact: Report to the Associate Director and act as the firm’s product owner for an assigned portfolio of innovation tools. Partner closely with IT to drive delivery, stability, and continuous improvement; own product vision and user experience while IT owns infrastructure and technical execution.
- Product Implementation & Lifecycle Management: Lead pilot-to-production transitions, coordinating governance reviews, vendor contracting, and technical implementation. Ensure production readiness by providing business context for architecture, risk, and security reviews; lead UAT; shape change management materials; and champion user requirements to drive strong adoption at launch.
- Steady-State Application & Platform Support: Own day-to-day product health for assigned tools, including vendor management, roadmap planning, budgeting, and contracting in partnership with IT and stakeholders. Work with IT to triage and resolve issues and coordinate updates to minimize disruption to practice teams.
- Technology Enablement & Adoption: Develop training, onboarding workflows, and supporting materials (live demos, guides, FAQs), and own user communications such as release notes and product announcements. Manage user feedback and enhancement requests through a prioritized backlog and conduct regular product health reviews using adoption, satisfaction, support, and ROI metrics to inform investment decisions.
- Market Intelligence & Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the internal expert on assigned products, maintaining deep knowledge of capabilities and roadmaps while monitoring legal tech and vendor trends. Contribute to new product pilots, representing practice group requirements and user needs throughout evaluation.
