Innovation Engineer Intern
About the role
This role is part of the Product Development/Innovation team at LIGNETICS GROUP. You will explore new technologies and new markets for sustainable, renewable raw materials, such as wood residuals. The work is cross-functional and contributes to a portfolio of new business opportunities, particularly focusing on consumer products.
Responsibilities
- Conduct product tests; perform quality assurance (QA) related tasks.
- Develop new test methods under guidance.
- Analyze data and share results.
- Prepare prototype formulations.
- Conduct online research on material and/or vendor options.
- Support consumer testing programs and data analysis.
Requirements
- Duties and Responsibilities as outlined above.
- Completed or nearing completion of a BA/BS degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Physical Science, or a related field.
- Previous internship or part-time experience in relevant fields is preferred.
- A strong analytical and forward-thinking approach.
- The ability to perform simple to complex mathematical calculations.
- An interest or experience in non-technical product development, including marketing and branding.
Education and Skills
- Completed, or nearing completion, of a BA/BS degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Physical Science, or a related field.
- Previous internship or part-time experience in relevant fields is preferred.
